The Partnership to Advance Responsible Technology (PART) is a Pittsburgh-based, independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit think-tank that engages key, multi-sector stakeholders to ensure the responsible research, development, deployment, and governance of emerging and data-driven technologies, notably artificial intelligence.  

Purposefully founded in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, an epicenter of emerging-technology in the heart of Appalachia, PART was born from the alarming observation that in many instances, developments and decision-making vis-à-vis technology and innovation are often made in a vacuum, without collaboration and community involvement, and further, are created or maintained without considerations for responsible practices.
